lind Faith was formed after the demise of Cream by Eric Clapton (v,g) and Ginger Baker (d) joining with Steve Winwood (v,kbd) who had just left Traffic. Rick Grech (bs) was invited to complete the band and left Family in mid-tour to join them.

Recording the album Blind Faith during the spring of 1969, they performed their first and only UK gig on June 7. There followed a US tour, the first gig of which was at Madison Square Gardens on July 12. Despite the tour, performed in large stadia, being financially rewarding, the group are dissatisfied with their music and decide to disband at the end of the tour.

Contrary to their manager’s (Robert Stigwood) assertion that they will reuinite in January 1970, they each go their seperate ways.

  • Only one LP was ever made and no singles released.
  • The girl on the cover was 11 years old.
  • Rick Grech was born in Bordeaux (the one in France).
  • Of course, the good old freedom-loving USA banned the cover.
  • Anything else about the cover, but not the music.
